Caption: #photocontest2018 This beautiful orange-backed Troupial was spotted near the main entrance to the Explorama Lodge in Loreto, Peru very close to the Amazon River. It briefly perched on exposed rebars before flying into the canopy of a tree at the edge of the jungle. It appears to have an insect in its beak - perhaps its own meal or food for a fledgling.
